MINDFUL TRAINING FOR PEAK PERFORMANCE

Does it feel like 5% of competitors do 95% of the winning?

What do they know that you don’t?

For almost 35 years, Olympic gold medalist Lanny Bassham has been teaching mental strategies

for performing under pressure.  His clients have included Olympic athletes, beauty queens,

PGA golfers, the Secret Service and, yes, competitors in dog sports.

Teah Anders began working with Lanny to become one of the first Certified Mental Management

Instructors in the country to teach his proven techniques.

She is the only Level III Dog Sport Instructor in the U.S.

You can be that person who looks forward to a nose work (or any dog sport) competition with

excitement instead of anxiety, knowing that you have your mental game in hand.

The knowledge and skill Teah will share can enrich every aspect of your life.

Please join us for this two-day interactive workshop to learn the proven Mental Management® System

for gaining focus and top performance under pressure.

SUNDAY’S WORKSHOP (9:00am – 5:00pm)

AM - Building Self-Image - A Mental Management® Seminar

The Self-Image is one of the core elements of Mental Management®.  The Self-Image

defines how we see ourselves and tends to control how we perform in competitions and life in general.

If we want to change how we perform, especially under pressure, we must change our Self-Image

by thinking and acting the way we desire.  In this half-day seminar, we will guide you through

the process of creating a new Self-Image and teach you how to use the directive affirmation

to change your Self-Image in just 21 days.

PM – Practical Application of Mental Management® Techniques

This is the “working” segment. 10 Nose Work teams (with dogs) get the chance to do a

variety of searches – and apply Mental Management® Techniques before, during and after

each search.  Auditors are welcome to be part of the discussion and ask questions. Auditors from

other sports are welcome and will see how Mental Management® works in the dog-sport experience.

Questions regarding their specific sport are welcome during the debrief.

Note: These techniques can be applied to any dog sport – or any high-pressure situation, for that matter.

For this seminar, our working dogs will be applying the techniques to Nose Work.

Working dogs in this seminar must be comfortable with new people and new environments.

They must also be comfortable being observed by strangers. AND … they must be searching for

at least birch.

You must attend on Saturday as a prerequisite to Sunday’s workshop.
