![]() Here are some of the most frequently asked questions of the Camp Canine USA Staff and our Council Members: What is the benefit of Camp Canine USA 's In-Home Training? When you choose our private In-home Family Dog Training, your dog(s) will be more comfortable and relaxed, and consequently more focused on the goals of the training session. Your dog will learn in her own environment and neighborhood where she is likely to learn more quickly. You will have the opportunity to work closely with your canine companion in the comfort of your home. We use only training methods based on positive reinforcement to teach your dog the basic manners and skills that will enhance your lives. We also will work with you to ensure you have the skills to reinforce what your dog has learned when we are not there. We incorporate practice sessions with you to support the training time we have spent with your dog(s). The benefits to you and your canine companions are endless. To learn more, please Contact Us. What area does Camp Canine USA serve for Family Dog Training? Group Classes are currently held at Steeplechase Veterinary Hospital & Animal Behavior Center, 5610 Bethelview Road Suite 900, Cumming, Georgia 30040. Why positive training? We use only positive training methods. We follow the philosophy that your dog is more willing and, in fact, happier to work with you and learn what you want if the learning is fun and rewarding. Dogs are thinking, feeling creatures with a great capacity to learn. We capitalize on that ability by helping them understand what it is we want and teaching them that something good is waiting for them when they get it. That's positive reinforcement. We do not use shock collars, choke collars, prong collars or physical punishment of any kind to achieve cooperation. Our main training tools are a box clicker for communication and favorite treats for rewards. You'll be amazed how quickly and willingly your dog will learn to Sit, Down, Come, Stay, Wait at the Door and many other basic good manners. We'll even show you how to teach her a trick or two to dazzle your friends. In the end, it's all fun and games. Who wouldn't do the good stuff if they get good stuff in return? To learn more, go to our Contact Us page. Drop us an e-mail or give us a call. Is Camp Canine USA licensed, bonded and insured? Yes, we are. What forms of payments do you accept at Camp Canine USA?
To minimize our cost and the need to pass them on to you, we accept cash or local personal checks. How did your Camp Council come to be?
We asked the Council Members, and they responded with "Big Woofs", "Friendship Paws" and a "Roo-roo" from Clyo.........all that translates to.... Why call it Camp Canine if there's no "camp" to attend? Who says "camp" can't be where you live? For us, it's as much a state of mind as a place. When we think camp, we think fun. We think exercise and play. We think happy relationships. With Camp Canine USA, your pets continue to live, grow and thrive in life. Whether you choose our Group Classes or Private In-Home Training, your pets will be more relaxed, focused, happier and maybe even healthier with Camp Canine USA. Working together, we can help you and your pet get the most out of life.
